Winona LaDuke is an Anishnaabe of the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota. She founded the White Earth Land Recovery Project and served as Ralph Nader's presidential running mate for the Green Party in the United States. Her acclaimed novel Last Standing Women appeared in 1997. The Winona LaDuke Reader: A Collection of Essential Writings is her first book with Theytus.
