Of Aboriginal and French ancestry, Marie-Micheline Hamelin, was born in a small northern community of Brosseau, Alberta. After achieving her Foundations in Indigenous Fine Arts Certificate, she pursued a Creative Writing Certificate and was awarded the Dora Bystrom Award for her dedication and work.
